Cooling Earth. Naturally.
Restore Earth’s natural cooling systems.
LeafTide is a new environmental organisation restoring forests, oceans, rivers, wetlands and wild habitats through science-led, community-powered action.
The LeafTide mission
We restore the living systems that keep land, water, wildlife and climate in balance.
LeafTide exists to help communities restore the natural cooling systems around them: forests, rivers, wetlands, meadows, hedgerows, ponds, coastlines and connected wildlife habitats.
We are starting carefully, with transparent research, honest updates and a first mission in Dinnington.
Our goal is to transform an area of unloved common land into a thriving natural space, either through native woodland planting or the creation of a wildflower meadow.
We are currently researching the most effective and sustainable way to achieve this, while working directly with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to gather environmental guidance and ensure that whatever comes next is suitable, protected and built to last.
Our aim is to create a beautiful place where nature can recover, wildlife can thrive and the local community can feel proud of the positive change taking place.
Science-led restoration, shaped with local people.
What we do
LeafTide turns damaged or underused places into healthier ecosystems.
Every project begins with a simple question: what ecosystem would naturally thrive here?
Restore habitats
Native woodland, wildflower meadow, wetland, ponds, hedgerows, pollinator habitat, river restoration and natural regeneration where the evidence supports it.
Build local trust
Communities should be able to see what is being proposed, why it is being proposed and how their feedback is being considered.
Measure real impact
LeafTide will report progress honestly, including early zero-state figures, research notes, consultation updates and long-term biodiversity outcomes.
Science-led, not agenda-led
We do not believe every site should become woodland.
The goal is not to maximise the number of trees planted. The goal is to restore healthy ecosystems that naturally cool the planet, increase biodiversity and provide long-term environmental benefits.
Mission 001
Community Regeneration Site.
A 1.1-hectare area of common land is being researched before any restoration decision is made. Possible outcomes include woodland, meadow or a mixed reserve.

Follow the zero-state dashboard as LeafTide moves from launch to measurable restoration.
Starting honestly
Small today. Measured from day one.
LeafTide is early-stage by design. The impact dashboard begins at zero so supporters can watch the work grow without inflated claims.
